What about this makes you think they aren’t?
Because he’s a compulsive liar and a Republican.

Actions speak louder. But at least it’s not overt marketing yet.
Those who hold power have already said it with their abortion bans with no exemptions in case of rape.
Or they slow-walked the investigations because they wanted to run against Trump again.
There should be no statute of limitations.
You sure showed us who’s in charge of the party. And didn’t give a shit about anything else.
Voted for Harris, btw.
You will never admit that moving to the right has failed.
Because the alternative involves accepting that moving to the right has failed as a strategy, and they don’t want to do anything else.
Then the rabble wont show up for elections. No better way to drain the energy out of a voter base then to make their voices feel unheard.
Democrats will never understand this.
You mean “fuck you, you’re voting for us, here’s Dick Cheney!” wasn’t the winning message for everyone that it was for centrists?
I can’t believe the bullshit with the Cheneys. When a war criminal like Dick Cheney endorses you, you disavow them.
And lemmy’s centrists were so goddamned happy that Cheney endorsed. They finally got the party to move so far to the right that they got Dick Cheney’s endorsement. That was when they considered it a win and they didn’t care about what happened after.
Centrism is saying it’s too early for dialog until it’s too late.
Democrats have the energy of that kid in high school who wanted to sit at the popular kids table and were willing to lose the friends they had in order to get there.
But all they did was look like fools and jettison allies.
The Democratic party is stuck on this idealistic platform of unity and appealing broadly to the American people.
That’s the marketing for “moving right every chance they get.”
It’s a distinction without much of a practical difference, yes, but I still think that not considering atrocities a deal breaker and being in favor of the atrocities should be distinguished between.
Agreed until they start being hostile to all criticism of the party, even when the criticism is about genocide support.
In the next few weeks, we’ll see if centrists start abandoning their hostility toward the anti-genocide wing of the party. I don’t think they will. I think you’ve drawn a distinction without a difference.
Not really, only the ones who say that you should withhold support from all Democrats in a binary election system
I have never, not a single fucking time, suggested withholding support. That has never fucking mattered.
Or to put it another way: apart from understandable election pragmatism, there’s a lot of people there who cares more about pretending that their “team” is perfect than about holding the people supposed to represent them accountable for participating in countless crimes against humanity.
And I don’t give the benefit of the doubt to people who are willing to jettison their humanity just for their “team”. Particularly when they’re super fucking excited to get Dick Cheney’s endorsement.
They’re openly hostile to anyone who says that Democrats should not support Netanyahu’s genocide.
I’m happy with XFCE and am looking forward to Wayland support.
