I don’t know I think some of their songs are cool. Some of them aren’t that good but that’s the case with all artists. They all have duds at some point.
I don’t see how that’s controversial. I often do this when I see bands I like play live, to protect my ears.
That’s definitely a good idea, hearing protection is important at loud events.
