It was very common in Canada too. My parents decided to break the cycle with me, but I was the only uncircumcised guy in the locker room growing up in the 90s.
Weird. TBH I didn’t know that. I’m not, my brothers not. My kid is not, nephews, cousins etc. Come to think about it, I don’t know why I know this. But it was an easy decision to tell the doc: “do you want to cut part of his penis off?” My ex and I were both sort of surprised it’s still asked: “uhhhm. Noooo. Nope. That’s a 100% no.”
Actually come to think of it, the dude she cheated on me with wasn’t either.
No in the US it’s almost standard practice
The US is such a third world country. Freedom my ass.
Interesting logic chain

I think it’s much less common in canada now. Especially in the Atlantic provinces

How’d you find that out?
His superpower might be that he can tell if somebody in close proximity to him has the entirety of their penis.
Don’t tell the republican party about him.
When we had our kid, it wasnt even mentioned. An “at request” service.
It’s been declining but in 1981 it was at peak with 65% of male babies circumcised. In 2007 it got down to 55%. Source: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/hestat/circumcision_2013/circumcision_2013.htm
Damn, I‘m happy that this isn‘t common practice in Germany.
