A tutorial with R and BUGS
Part of me understands that BUGS must stand for something I’m not familiar with, but I can also assure you, if I’m following a tutorial for data analysis it is going to contain bugs.
I may or may not be any number of unfathomable beings.

In the original book he also wasn’t adopted, to be fair. He was just born looking like a mouse.
Sure, after a 2 year training montage maybe
Depending on how you’re rounding, I assume. Standard rounding to whole digits states that 2.4 will round to 2 but 4.8 will round to 5. So 2.4+2.4=4.8 can be reasonably simplified to 2+2=5.
This is part of why it’s important to know what your significant digits are, because in this case the tenths digit is a bit load bearing. But, as an example, 2.43 the 3 in the hundredths digit has no bearing on our result and can be rounded or truncated.
I honestly hadn’t even considered that this could be shopped because a real borzoi is like 60% snoot by volume anyway
The common element in all hockey variants is the
stickfighting.
The rational self interest bit isn’t what makes her a hypocrite here. RSI is a position that states you take whatever you can whenever you can, so it fits perfectly. The reason we’re calling her a hypocrite is because she spent years calling social security “immoral” only to hop right on it immediately when it became beneficial to her.
Ayn Rand: “Social security is an immoral redistribution of wealth and should be abolished. One is entitled to what they’ve earned themselves.”
Also Ayn Rand:
Well, yes, it is. It doesn’t meet the minimum definition for sentience, let alone intelligence. You may as well be upset with how poorly we treat rocks.
Actually now that I think about it, you are upset with how we treat rocks. Computer chips are just silicon shot full of lightning and an AI is a function of its chips. We could eventually reach a point where we’ve created a true thinking AI on this substrate but we are so hilariously far away from even the beginnings of that, right now, that using it as a talking point is silly.
I feel like Kyle and Michael would be great friends if they met in person, and I would watch infinite content from the two of them. It would feel like Mythbusters all over again.
I don’t know where that Manson rumor started but I do know that every single kid in my middle school all wanted to talk about it all the time. This was my first experience with being over saturated with a meme nearly to the point of physical violence. Absolutely no one would shut the fuck up about it ever and me not wanting to hear about it anymore made me the weird one.
This feels like secret agent training material in an alternate world
That makes way too much sense.
The infinite growth mindset is the root of all evil
Yes, and also probably canonically true as well
Better, replace the bulb with a directional one that spotlights the spot near the light switch
The trick for Mario Party is to crank up the difficulty on a COM player and then just explicitly ally against them. We all win so long as Luigi loses. Actual star and coin count are just for bragging rights behind the primary objective of putting him in the dirt.
Every 0.04 seconds I shave off whatever task I’m doing is a hit of dopamine right to the receptors
If you went into a YouTube video with the expectation that they were going to kill someone live on camera to illustrate an ethical dilemma, I’m not sure the video was the problem here
This right here is the correct answer. The average American is a little bit stupid but generally speaking, the reason why we are is because our education system sucks shit and we are bombarded with conflicting misinformation from literally all angles, constantly. Foreign actors lie to us just as frequently as our own government and corporations do. Truth has become a precious and rare commodity and is frequently discarded out of hand when it is found because the education system hasn’t taught most of us how to challenge our own assumptions.
Most people aren’t stupid, they’re misguided. As in, led astray, purposefully.
Depends on the person. I’ve been told to my face without a hint of irony that “you’re so open minded all your brains fell out”.
I’m moderately surprised that Tesla hasn’t already tried replacing the windshield with a big screen and cameras tbh
