I’m not black but Hispanic and get this often because of my curly hair. I actually love it but understand some people might not like it. But at least they ask. Had some people just pat my hair to feel it which is really weird.
Of course you ask the brand. With the less tech savvy, you need to be clear and specific in your language. If you ask “is it a macbook?” you’ll get confusion as reply. People understand brands though. Even asking if it’s Windows might be confusing, because Windows is all they know.
People with mild discomfort (e.g. a persistent cough) fill up most of the emergency rooms where I’m from, since the hospital is free. Unfortunately what this means is if you have a non life threatening problem, you have to wait in the same room as people with colds and flues that should be in bed waiting it out and eating soup.

Dolphins and whales might be intelligent, but their bodies do not allow them effective use of complex tools. Same for birds.
Octopods do have a body that is flexible enough, but having evolved in water is a huge limiting factor. But some are able to move around outside water, so it’s not too far fetched to imagine becoming a global species.
Most companies put money aside for community initiatives. This is important for companies because it improves moral, thus reducing employee churn, which is costly. Spending a thousand bucks a year in sponsorships is a drop in the bucket for any mid sized company. If you never ask, you’ll never know.
Devs can convince their companies to sponsor open source projects that companies use. Most devs don’t care, why would companies?
My flat grows mold if I leave it under 18C for too long and my landlord doesn’t care 🥴
Isn’t that most news? It’s one of the reasons I avoid reading the news in general.
Having used both, Windows Vista was much worse than windows 8.
That’s obviously not what I mean.
