Did anyone else think the final frame was going to be the hobo having already died, since they took so long discussing WHY giving him the bread was the right thing to do, that they never actually GAVE him the bread?

I thought it was going there too. Really thought it was gonna be a joke on philosophers being disconnected from reality or something, y’know, taking so long to discuss a point because they miss the actual point that he’s hungry now.

I’ve never heard of her, but I’m 100% in anscombe’s camp.

I read “atlas shrugged”. What a fucking lame story by a shitbrain author, and I came to that conclusion somewhat before I knew how stupid rand is 😆

In the same way no one is 100.00% good, no one intentions are 100% good and free of side effects. Anscombe view ends up justifying inaction.

I understand what you mean, there’s even a catchy saying, “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”.

I don’t really agree with it. I also don’t believe in inaction.

        Life is a best effort.
