Maybe it’s just me, but I would rather have some home baked cookies from somebodies grandma than the dry, mass produced cardboard wafers the girl scouts make. There’s only a couple flavors that are even edible for humans.

The scout gets like 7 cents a box per sale. Fucking ridiculous.
It is possible to donate to a specific troop instead of getting cookies but it is extremely difficult. It is a complete scam org that happens to do some neat stuff. Teaching kids how to be the labor, marketing, and sales, but not get paid will always enrage me.
