0·2 days agoThe only way that’s a problem is if you’re on certain government benefits, if you make just a little bit too much there’s a hard cutoff for many benefits so you may end up losing more than you made in OT. But if your staff is facing this dilemma, they need to be paid more.

I rent, and I wish it was that easy. I have to twist my landlord’s arm into doing anything and she always complains about how much it costs. We had sewage backing up into the basement and she didn’t want to pay for the emergency plumber. Ugh. I dream of my own apartment with a decent landlord.

XY females aren’t always sterile! Most of the cases we know of are sterile though, because you don’t get tested for this stuff unless something’s wrong (the woman in the case study got tested because XY women are common in her family, her daughter is XY).

Honestly this is the first one I’ve noticed, I’m guessing the rest aren’t as comically long? I’ll look for them in the future though.
0·10 days agoLast I heard there’s still some problems with it and I’m guessing they won’t be resolved soon, like how does moderation work if the reportee is on an instance that’s defederated with yours but not the community instance?
Your options are either to create an alt to mod (or just move to the other instance) or to start the community on your home instance.

Given the “how to use a Belgian waffle maker” vid, I think this is a plausible hallucination - I bet the waffle was invented (or the word waffle started being used) in Belgium 200 years ago. Or maybe the Belgian waffle maker was invented 200 years ago?

I loved the first season of that, did they ever release the second season and was it any good?
MASH is one of the best TV shows ever made and that has a laugh track through most of it, although I’ve heard it aired in Europe without it and was mostly better for it, but that is the show that first started challenging the need for a laugh track in the first place and successfully ditched it when they went harder into dramedy.
