I love cats. My first pet that was all my own was a cat. My first pet abroad was a cat. Now I have three adorable ones. I like their cuteness, sweetness, and that they’re their own animal unlike dogs who can be more needy.

Piping plovers. Cause they’re small and we tried to shore up their population and it worked.

The Mimic Octopus: it can shape shift to look like other sea life. It is quite interesting.

The squirrels in my yard are awesome. There are black and grey ones and while drinking my morning coffee I was them playing and wrestling. I’m always finding holes in my yard from where they placed and acorn and dug it back up and I find that so goofy.

Male Homosapiens, one of the Great Apes. I really like the ones that are not hairy and go to the gym, and tall, did I mention tall?

Bears, big and strong, cool faces

Raccoons, just vibing and trying to get by

    Cats, pretty friendly

Crows, they’re very cautious but seems like a lot going on with them

I like cows. It started with using cowsay to make some “interesting” output for an otherwise boring looking program, then having to repeat the banner in msfconsole until I got the cow for good luck, then changing my desktop backgrounds and profile pictures to always have a good luck charm with me.

I also think they’re neat but that isn’t the origin. If I had the property where it made sense to host livestock, I’d like to get Dexter cattle. That’s my current favorite.

People also figured out my interest early on and now they get me cow things. I have a wall of cow art I’ve accumulated.

    I like cows

Octopuses. They only live about a year, but they are very intelligent. Usually intelligence is found in longer-lived creatures. They are solitary, but form good bonds with humans. They have lots of clever adaptations.

I really really love them, and I can’t stand seeing people eat them. I’m a omnivore, but it’s like watching someone eat a dolphin or an ape or an elephant. Just wrong.

nautilus I love the way they look and move. I’d keep a tank of them but don’t want them to go blind.

They’re so ancient evolutionary speaking that their eyes are sensors behind a hole in the shell. They have no way to dilate in response to light and are adapted to deep low light conditions.

So keeping them in a tank where I could see them would burn their eyes out in a day or two.

Cats, whales (hence the whale emoji in my username), and dolphins. Cats are cute fluffy oddballs and cetaceans in general are majestic and intelligent beings. I also like birds because I’ve always had an affinity towards things that can effortlessly soar through the skies…
