In the country I live in, switzerland, I will rent probably my whole life and I am ol with that. And also my SO is quite a bit shorter, so we cannot just buy and install an extra tall kitchen.

Not OP but the first three things I already experienced today were: Knee and backpain, standing out in a crowd, needing to slightly bend down vor everything in most standard kitchens.
Cats are (at least genetically) used to much bigger and more open areas. So no, a house probably doesnt feel that huge like the relative bodysize would suggest.
Still have an absolute mess on Linux Mint with my projector, wrong aspect ratios everywhere, sometimes only one screen is selected. Maybe it has something to do with how and when I connected/booted/powered each device…
