That’s what I meant by “use the lab machines”. Basically you can do the work on your own devices if it is Mac or Linux but are expected to ssh or remote desktop into the lab machines if you have windows

They told us we should have a linux or a mac in first year comp sci and if we didn’t we should use the lab machines. Probably because they are both unix like operating systems.

One more question because this is honestly baffling to me: Is gnocchi also noodles in the US? How about ravioli? And what about pierogi and other dumplings?

Are you serious? “pasta”, “lasagna sheet”, “lasagna”. Literally anything that isn’t a completely different shape. Hell, calling it “lasagna paper” makes more sense than calling it a noodle… Do you yanks have the term “noodle shaped”? If you do how do you grapple with that and calling pasta of completely different shapes “noodles”? Is this a pool noodle in the US? A lasagna sheet is as far as you could possibly get from a noodle when it comes to carbohydrate food items.

Yeh, it is such I minor thing for me that it doesn’t really matter but it is probably the only thing I miss. I have avoided playing most EA, Ubisoft and Epic store games for a while but it still sucks when the one game from EA that I did own and spent some money on has just decided that all linux users are cheaters. For the most part I stick to games that I know have a high chance of always working on linux.

Not having to worry about games straight up blocking linux users from playing because we are supposedly all cheaters…
