12 days agoThis is like those silly fake IDs that the sovereign citizen goofballs use, and as such it would fail at being an ID in the same ways.
While not helpful for privacy, the truth is that the only reason a state ID has any value is because it comes from a ‘trusted’ source who verifies the information on it. An ID that isn’t issued by a trusted source has no value, as it would be no different from me just asking the person holding it who they are, they can say whatever they like, just as their printed card could say whatever it likes.
If Nintendo went belly up today, Microsoft would buy them.
That’d be kind of sad.
