We can’t see his feet, but there’s a 99% chance he’s wearing a pair of filthy sandals with way too many miles on them.
I was hoping to find ProZD in here!
I used to be in a shitty local band (well a couple of them) and we would sometimes go to WH at 2 or 3 in the morning. I saw some interesting people for sure. And I have been there many times at all hours of the day. I’ve never seen anything remotely like the internet horror stories. Obviously there have been fights and shootings and what not at Waffle Houses, but those happen at plenty of other places, too. I think the “shit show rep” that it has just comes from bullshit artists on reddit trying to sound edgy or funny. I saw a lot more weirdness on the handful of times I’ve ridden a NY subway.
You can advertise without paying millions to people who already have millions. And forcing them to reveal the cost to consumers isn’t preventing them from advertising.
He webbed in his pants.
An “optics first” mindset. Sadly, it’s probably even worse in 2024.
I’m 80% there. I think the “constant push notifications” software trend accelerated it quite a bit.
I don’t know shit about knitting, and even I can tell the needles are upside-down just for starters.
A lot of folks on lemmy.world complain about how many posts are about the US and/or politics. I understand it can be tedious. But there are hundreds of lemmy instances to choose from, and some of those are not federated with lemmy.world, and some of the clients let you block instances you don’t like. Get out there and explore and try things.
It’s the intelligence in the design or something.
Just your typical Crossfit instructor.
Healthcare practices vary in how much they are willing to run interference for you on insurance. Most of them will at least try “pretty hard” to help with the claims because it’s good for their income stream to do so. However, sometimes you’ll find yourself using a provider who can’t be bothered with staffing up and/or supervising it to make sure it gets done. In my (limited, anecdotal) experience, this seems to happen more often with specialists or niche providers.
Or sometimes it’s your insurance plan. It might have so many byzantine rules and/or shitty admins that it’s just too much work for even a crackerjack provider staff to deal with it. So they end up kicking it back to you and saying “good luck”. If this happens enough, the practice may stop accepting that plan in the future.
Some people get big computer monitors instead of a TV, because of shit like this.
Poor bastard was waiting for Windows update to finish.
