Musk continues to demonstrate loud and clear that he is none of the things he claims to be.
Nah, I hate the feeling of all the tiny hairs. Yank em right out tyvm
Then who’s coming up with all the bits that I copy/paste off the internet? The regex dragon?
Instead of “s/he is” you can say “they are”, even though it’s singular. “They” is the preferred pronoun for any situation where gender is unclear or (usually, but not always) for non binary people.
FTKs should never have been allowed.
I’m sorry it was me. Now I transitioned so I’m the one in the bottom picture too 😎
But they did live in Eden, we’ve got a bunch of those.

If the purpose of a system is what it does, then it seems the purpose of democracy is the self flagellation of the masses.
One downfall of what I only hesitantly refer to as modern feminism (although really I’m talking about terfs and the terf-adjacent) is that it has painted men as dangerous by default. I’m also a trans woman so I’ve seen both sides of the coin, too… I do feel less safe now, this is true. Many things were easier when I was living as a man. But I was never dangerous or an abuser.
Nonetheless, a former partner used accusations of abuse against me and turned so many people on me. The only ones that stuck by me were former romantic partners, who knew the accusations couldn’t have been true. For everyone else, it was so easy to accept that a man - even a clearly gentle one - would be an abuser.
In reality I’ve been a victim of abuse - physical, emotional, sexual… All long before I transitioned.
Hisssss! Get away with your poison words! Leave me to my tippy tapping at my special clickety clackety keyboard!
No, that’s also a measure of size used primarily for those big fords with the tiny beds.
Inspired by the story, another landlord decides to name their pub “Pig and And and And and Whistle.” Lo and behold, the sign was cramped… Ther needed more space between Pig and and and and and And and And and and and and and And and And and and and and and Whistle.
Well given that an LLM produced the nonsense riddle above, obviously it cannot predict that. It can predict the structure of a riddle perfectly well, it can even get the rhyming right! But the extra layer of meaning involved in a riddle is beyond what LLMs are able to do at the moment. At least, all of them that I’ve seen - they all seem to fall flat with this level of abstraction.
It doesn’t understand anything. It predicts a word based on previous words - this is why I called it syntax. If you imagine a huge and vastly complicated series of rules about how likely one word is to follow up to, say, 1000 others… That’s an LLM.
AI doesn’t have a mind to do mental leaps, it only knows syntax. Just a form of syntax so, so advanced that it sometimes accidentally gets things factually correct. Sometimes.
I’m inclined to agree. “It’s like comparing a flower to an old shoe” is just a bit too witty for a little kid.
I think there’s been a shift in media here over the years. Older vampires, the formalwear “I vant to suck your blaaaad” types, often have very long teeth and leave only a couple of punctures after biting someone. It’s pretty reasonable to assume these are actually drawing the blood through their teeth like little syringes.
Then as time goes on, vampires have gotten grittier and gorier. We’ve gone from beautiful damsels with tiny pinpricks on their necks, to staight up cannibalism. Vampires now just fuckin eat people sometimes. Somewhere in between, we did get a phase of vampires biting open the neck with a big gush of blood, and the now classic image of a vampire with blood all over their lower face. At this point it’s clear they’re just drinking it normally.
