I work in IT and we just hired a new “Engineer” at the company I’m working for. I saw on the form that it said he knew a lot about Python, so, I got interested and decided to go meet him. First thing I ask is what IDE he uses and he says “Anaconda”. Next thing you know, he’s calling the entire computer a “CPU” and can’t solve simple issues on Windows. Nice guy though.

Oh, I’ve already been doing this putting “Read Receipt” on emails and also checking confirmation of delivery. I forward any critical emails to my personal email just in case he deletes it. He would definitely throw me under the bus if he wanted to. Thank you for the advice though!

There is FOSS alternatives out there like Revolt or just plain old IRC which is good enough imo. The Discord bullshit is so annoying.
