      Eh, the term meme has come to encompass reposts of things from other outlets for some reason. I don’t like it, I think it waters down meme communities, and kills the fun of memes via it being harder to find good memes.

      But I think it’s here to stay.

        I agree with your point about making it harder to find good memes. Technically the original definition of “meme” from Dawkins would encompass this post, but it is more suited to !tumblr@lemmy.world or wherever they found this. Wait, let me say it this way
